Foundation knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology (ADS NOL Intro)

Description
Most people have little understanding of how the brain drives every aspect of our behaviour in our daily lives, including the workplace. This Introductory module provides the background knowledge in neuroanatomy and neurophysiology that will be referred to in the program.

This foundation knowledge helps us to understand how recent advances in studying the brain have unlocked new understanding of human behaviour. We explore how we can use this knowledge to lead in a more effective way in the very fast-paced, volatile and uncertain 21st century world of work.

You will learn why and how the brain’s key driver to keep us alive and safe impacts on our behaviour. This understanding provides insights about times when this drive to keep us safe doesn’t always align with what we or others are tying to achieve.

This knowledge allows us to better understand the important role the brain plays in our reactions to events, our capacity to form new habits, our efforts to change, our motivation and how it impacts our performance and productivity and those around us.
